Q. Is there a rank requirement for attending events?
A. No, any Military Family is eligible regardless of rank.

Q. Are veteran’s children eligible?
A. Veteran’s children and families are eligible for 12 months past date of separation.

Q. Are these events only for Army National Guard?
A. No, any ranch and component is welcome.

Q. Are Gold Star families eligible?
A. Yes

Open to the entire Military Family and anyone else you want to bring along
1/2 price of zoo admission, Show your Military ID or Event Flyer to receive the discount.

This event will provide a light lunch and simple activities to enhance the family visit to the zoo.

Family Overnight Event - Toledo Zoo
Open to any military youth age 6-12 with parent(s)
$20 per participant (plus non-refundable service fee)

Engage the staff to teach adaptations and how we all must adapt to our surroundings.  Attendees will spend the night and explore further in the morning.

Guided aquarium tour, animal encounter, SCUBA Dive presentation, craft, scavenger hunt, other fun activities, evening snack and breakfast.

Overnight camps are a fun way for your family to spend time together! During your stay, you will experience a naturalist led pasture tour, night hikes, campfires and hands on activities in the field.

Winter Wonderland - Columbus
Open to military families
Free admission

Come and enjoy the afternoon of fun and fellowship. The Columbus Zoo will have their animals available along with photo with Santa, crafts, hot chocolate, face painting, STEM activities and much more!

These camps will allow families to build stronger bonds during the "easy times" therefore building family resilience for the "hard times". Each camp will provide a unique experience. Activities that may be available at your selected camp are: waterskiing, sailing, kayaking, bike riding, family games, crafts, campfires, high ropes, zip line, canoeing, hiking, basketball, archery, fishing, and, more.

All camps are open to military families and cost
$85.00 for the first 4 people, $10.00 for each additional person (plus non-refundable service fee)

Learn about healthy living from college athletes along with how they balance school, sports, and life.

Participants will learn about and help with equine grooming, horse painting, and equine assisted games.  Embedded with learning about the animals will be learning about emotional awareness and resilience.

Camp Corrall: Camp Joy, Clarksville
Open to all military Kids (including those of veterans) age 8-15
Free, with a $25.00 refundable deposit

Camp Corral, is a free, one-of-a-kind summer camp experience for children of wounded, ill, injured, or fallen military service members. Although any child of a military service member or veteran is eligible, registration priority is given to mission status children; those children of wounded, ill, injured, or fallen military service members.

NOTE: The Ohio National Guard Youth programs nor Ohio Military Kids is involved in the planning or execution of this camp only marketing as an additional option.

Teen Leadership Camp: Newark
Open to military teen, age 12-17
$50 per participant (plus non-refundable service fee)

The camp setting will present an environment conducive to build skills in life and as a leader. This will include high ropes and low ropes courses along with a variety of sessions and discussions focused on developing leadership skills in the areas of self-awareness, community, organization, decision-making, and problem-solving.

Teen Leadership Weekend: Toledo

Teens will participate in a variety of sessions and discussions focused on developing leadership skills all while exploring all that the zoo has to offer.

Wakeboarding, sailing, waterskiing, tubing, boat rides, swimming, rafting, island bike riding, sand volleyball, soccer, softball, crafts, group games, mini golf, team challenges, bonfires, and much more!
