Jan. 9, 1945:

The 37th Infantry Division takes part in the assault landing of the Philippines at Lingayen Gulf. Sgt. Jess Cauthorn of the 148th Infantry sketched this image of the landing and reproduced them for his fellow Soldiers in the 3rd Battalion at the conclusion of the war.
