SALARY RANGE:         STEP 01 GS-07 $38,117 – STEP 10 $49,553

THIS POSITION IS BEING ANNOUNCED IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE MERIT PROMOTION PROCEDURES AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT.  WEARING OF THE APPROPRIATE ARMY/AIR UNIFORM IS REQUIRED WHILE EMPLOYED IN THIS POSITION.   PERMANENT CHANGE OF DUTY STATION (PCS) FUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE.  DUE TO MANNING RESTRICTIONS, THIS POSITION WILL BE FILLED WHEN MANNING AND FUNDING BECOME AVAILABLE.

 

DUTIES:  This position is located in an Engineering and Installation Squadron. The position serves as the squadron training technician.

 

GENERAL EXPERIENCE:  Progressively responsible clerical experience  or other work which demonstrated the ability to acquire and to apply a practical knowledge and understanding of the program objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements relating to the work of the position.

 

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:  (GS-07)  - 12 months of experience which the applicant has demonstrated the following:

1.        Experience in developing lesson plans and assuring that these plans are followed.

2.        Experience which demonstrates an applicant’s ability to obtain training materials and set up equipment.

3.        Experience which demonstrates an applicant’s ability to gather data and to prepare and submit reports.

4.        Experience which demonstrates an applicant’s ability to follow agency directives in monitoring and controlling a testing environment.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

1.        Ability to develop, administer and evaluate education/training programs.

2.        Ability to secure facilities and coordinate training.

3.        Ability to gather data and compile plans and reports.

4.       Ability to coordinate and control testing programs.                                                   

 

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION:  NOTE: College Transcripts are required if you wish to use Education as a substitution for experience or if a degree is a requirement for the position.  An copy of the transcript must be submitted with the Job Application. Education must be directly related to the field of work. Study successfully completed in a college, university, technical or vocational school may be substituted for experience at the rate of one year of study (30 semester hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week for 6 months of experience).   Maximum credit is 6 months of specialized experience.
