Awards
- Second place the
past two years (2006-07) in the National Guard Bureau Media
Contest, magazine category. This marks the 14th time since
1992 that Buckeye Guard has been judged among the top
three state magazines in the entire National Guard
(including 10 first places during that span).
- Winner, 2000 and 2002
Department of Defense Thomas Jefferson Award as the best magazine
among all branches of the military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine
Corps and Coast Guard), both active and reserve components. This is
the highest award bestowed in military journalism. Buckeye Guard
has been named the top Defense Department magazine five times since
1978.
- Winner, 2000 and 2002
Department of the Army Keith L. Ware Award as the best magazine in
the entire U.S. Army worldwide, among both active and reserve
components. The Buckeye Guard placed among the top three
publications in the U.S. Army for six consecutive years, from 1998
to 2003.
