Community Projects Adopt a School...here Guardcare...here Request a National Guard Flyover NEW PROCEDURES FOR REQUESTING A FLYOVER. Beginning in January 2007, the Air Force Public Affairs Office updated the Aerial Event website. This is important because it changes the way you request a flyover. The entire approval process is now web-based. DIRECTIONS: 1. Access their website at: www.airshows.pa.hq.af.mil 2. Click the red button labeled "New Requests" 3. Follow the directions. As a reminder, the new website requires ALL requestors to submit and track your request online. There is still a requirement for a signed copy to be sent via fax to the FAA and then to the Air Force. The Air Force fax number is (703) 693-9601. Fax your completed form to the FAA office that serves the county in which the event will take place. airmen serve. Through an active community relations program, the Ohio National Guard demonstrates it is a good neighbor and community partner.
The Guard and its soldiers and airmen are extensively involved in local community organizations and often participate in, or The Ohio National Guard Public Affairs staff receives all volunteer requests, reviews and validates their legal propriety, then puts out a call across the organization for volunteers. Volunteers are not typically provided in an "official" capacity. The National Guard, as a government institution, refrains from endorsing specific organizations or events that it does not officially sponsor. Instead, it is up to the individual Guard members to decide whether they volunteer their time. Event organizers should also be aware that military mission requirements may on occasion prevent our people from supporting off-base events and that there are a number of state and federal restrictions on how the National Guard can support organizations and events and our training and mission schedules always come first.
