As some of you may have seen, on Tuesday, Governor DeWine announced my appointment as the Director of the Ohio Department of Veterans Services.

With my departure, BG Matthew Woodruff, the Assistant Adjutant General for Army, will assume duties as Ohio’s 84th Adjutant General on 1 June. I believe Matt’s experience, personality, and commitment will serve Ohio and this organization extremely well. The Ohio National Guard will remain always ready, always there.

My career with the Ohio National Guard has been incredibly fulfilling and I appreciate every Soldier, Airman, and civilian who I have had the privilege to serve with over my 44-year career in Ohio’s military. My tenure as Adjutant General was an incredibly challenging and rewarding experience, but inevitably, all good things end. I look forward to my next opportunity to serve this great state as the Director of the Ohio Department of Veterans Services.

Thank you all for your service to our State and Nation.
