Volunteers with Final Salute Inc. celebrate with Spc. The house was provided by Final Salute Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting female veterans in need with safe and suitable housing. Howard recently returned from a deployment to Afghanistan with her Ohio Army National Guard unit.

Ljubisa Dikovic, Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, participate in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the school's gym renovation project. More than 30 Ohio National Guard members went to Serbia as part of the State Partnership Program, working alongside their counterparts in the Serbian 2nd Army Brigade to repair the school in Kraljevo, Serbia, which was damaged by an earthquake in late 2010.

On this day in Ohio National Guard history, September 26, 1877, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 112th Engineer Battalion, Brook Park, is organized in Berea as Company K, 15th Infantry Regiment (Berea Light Guards). Following World War II the Berea unit was reorganized as Tank Company, 145th Infantry; this company photo was taken in 1950 at Camp Atterbury, Indiana.
