Celebrating America’s Birthday

Independence Day celebrates America’s birth and honors the U.S. military’s commitment to defend the nation. Today, America’s sons and daughters carry the same patriotism and ideals of the founders with them as they serve in harm’s way in places like Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as here at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Maj. Gen. John C. Harris, Jr., Ohio adjutant general, talks about some of these principles in his Fourth of July message. The Ohio National Guard thanks its Soldiers, Airmen, civilian employees, employers and Families for their service, bravery and patriotism.
