During a snowy winter day at the 179th Airlift Wing in Mansfield, Ohio, Airmen work to de-ice one of the C-130H Hercules cargo aircraft. The 179th is currently transitioning to its new mission, announced in early 2013, and is scheduled to be operating a total of eight C-130Hs by June 2016.

Retired Maj. Gen. Gregory Wayt (from left, under saber arch), former Ohio adjutant general, Chief Master Sgt. Tamara Phillips, command chief master sergeant of the Ohio Air National Guard, and retired Chief Master Sgt. Christopher Muncy, former command chief master sergeant of the Air National Guard and Ohio Air National Guard, are introduced as the official party during the Order of the Musket ceremony last fall in Springfield, Ohio. Wayt and Muncy were being honored with the award, given by the enlisted Airmen of the state, which honors individuals, military or civilian, who've worked for and enhanced the lives and mission capabilities of the Ohio Air National Guard and its members.

Seven members of the Ohio National Guard's 52nd CST were activated Friday, Jan. 10, 2014, in response to last week's water contamination incident in the Charleston area, where ONG members are working alongside CSTs from West Virginia, Tennessee and the District of Columbia, as well as other elements of the West Virginia National Guard, civilian chemists and West Virginia American Water employees.
