Harris joined the Ohio Army National Guard in 1981 and now leads the organization's 11,400 Soldiers.

The Ohio Army National Guard Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier of the Year/Best Warrior Competition is being held this weekend, March 9-11, at Camp Sherman. Soldiers and NCOs from all over the state will test their skills in several events. Competitors won at their battalion level to make it this far.

Members of the Ministry of Defence's Military Health Department, Republic of Serbia, received a tour of Riverside Methodist Hospital Monday, March 12, 2012, in Columbus, Ohio. During their visit, the delegation traveled around Ohio visiting multiple medical facilities including the University Hospital of Cincinnati and the Cleveland Clinic.

The C-27J is capable of transporting troops and supplies to rugged areas with its ability to land on short, unimproved landing strips. If a landing is not possible or feasible, the troops or supplies can be delivered from the air utilizing a sophisticated parachute system.

Ohio Army National Guard engineers help with debris removal near Moscow, Ohio

Ohio Army National Guard engineers help with debris removal near Moscow, Ohio. The governor declared a state of emergency after tornados and severe storms hit the previous week in Clermont County, and Ohio National Guard Soldiers and Ohio Department of Transportation clean-up crews assisted local officials with debris removal to expedite recovery efforts.
