Ohio Air National Guard Master Sgt. Dan Bell (right), from West Salem and a member of the 179th Airlift Wing, finishes the Columbus Half Marathon Oct. 16, 2011 with his wife, Andrea Bell, in 2 hours, 7 minutes, 54 seconds. The couple trained together leading up to the race, which was the longest Dan had ever run. Duke Wheeler has created a military themed corn maze at The Butterfly House in Whitehouse, Ohio. The maze, which spans 26 acres, shows aspects of the Ohio Air National Guard's 180th Fighter Wing, located near Toledo, Ohio, with the Stinger Bee mascot and F-16 fighter jet. Also depicted is an armored vehicle representing the Army, and a Marine saluting with a sword; at the bottom of the maze is a message reading "Thanks to our Troops."
