ACTIVE GUARD/RESERVE (AGR) POSITIONS
The Active Guard/Reserve program is open to current Soldiers and Airmen of the Ohio National Guard. The AGR program requires military membership in the Ohio National Guard as a condition of employment.
Criteria for AGR positions varies so prospective applicants should click on the job announcement they are interested in for specific guidance on who may apply, and how to apply for the specific position.
FEDERAL CIVIL SERVICE TECHNICIAN POSITIONS
Technician Programs are available for both the Army and Air National Guard. The majority of Technical positions require military membership in the Ohio National Guard as a condition of employment.
There are two Federal Civil Service Technician Programs in the Army and Air National Guard: General Schedule positions (GS) are Administrative in nature (white collar) and Wage Schedule positions (WG/WL/WS) which are maintenance oriented (blue collar). The majority of Technician positions require military membership in the Ohio National Guard as a condition of employment. Exceptions will be labeled as "non-mil positions" in which civilians may also apply.

Ohio Air National Guard members who work full-time for the Ohio National Guard.

Civilian employees of the Department of the Air Force who are required to maintain membership in the National Guard or Reserve in order to retain employment.
