  • We are trusted stewards of taxpayer resources; always look for ways to conserve them.
  • Optimize the use of time – it is scarce and unrecoverable.
  • Eliminate waste, fraud and abuse.

We are trusted stewards of the Nation’s resources – time, money, equipment, and people. Every action we take should reflect that responsibility. Time is our most limited resource; use it wisely. Cut waste. Eliminate redundancy. Prevent fraud and abuse. Our ability to “do more with less” is not just a skill – it’s a strategic advantage.

President Abraham Lincoln once said, “Leave nothing for tomorrow which can be done today.” This quote reflects Lincoln’s deep belief in urgency, responsibility, and time optimization, especially during the high-stakes pressures of the Civil War. It underscores the same principles we emphasize in being relentlessly efficient – acting with purpose, managing time wisely, and never delaying what can and should be done now. Efficiency begins with preparation, planning, and purposeful execution. It means asking: Is this the best use of my effort? My team’s time? The Ohio National Guard’s resources? In today’s complex and fast-paced environment, a modern military must be agile, innovative, and resourceful. Relentless efficiency enables us to maintain readiness, respond rapidly, and uphold the trust placed in us by the American people. Stay mission focused. Eliminate distractions. Be the example in how you manage time, streamline processes, and maximize value. Cohesion across teams – built on mutual trust and shared intent – is what allows us to move faster and smarter together.

Let’s honor the Army’s legacy by ensuring our every action supports a stronger, more capable force. Warfighter Culture = Who We Are. People First! Winning Matters!
