State Command Sergeant Major
Command Sergeant Major William A. Workley
Serves as the principal enlisted advisor to the Assistant Adjutant General for Army. He observes training and all matters concerning the enlisted members of the Ohio Army National Guard and their Families.
The Army National Guard provides infantry, armor, artillery, engineering, transportation, water purification, air defense, cyber, logistics, administrative, medical support and command personnel who have the training and equipment to perform its federal warfighting mission, as well as its state mission to support local authorities during domestic emergencies. The state’s 120 Army Guard units occupy 42 training sites/areas and readiness centers throughout 36 Ohio counties.
