About 160 Soldiers from the Ohio Army National Guard's 1194th Engineer Company, located in Chillicothe, Ohio, are deploying in support of Operation Freedom's Sentinel. The unit's Soldiers were honored Oct. 12 during a call to duty ceremony at Ohio University-Chillicothe. The unit's mission overseas will be to conduct vertical engineering operations. Comprised of technically skilled laborers including plumbers/pipe fitters, interior electricians and concrete/masonry experts, the 1194th previously deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003-2005.
