COLUMBUS, Ohio (10/06/16) — Aircraft from Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Va. flew into Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base beginning Oct. 6, to ensure their safety from Hurricane Matthew. About 30 F-22 Raptors and 10 T-38 Talons from Langley were stationed at the 121st Air Refueling Wing, which maintains a national disaster reception plan that supports hurricane evacuations for five wings around the country. The 121st recently provided evacuation support to A-10 Thunderbolt IIs from Moody Air Force Base, Ga., when Hurricane Hermine hit the state in late August.
