Resource fair, student roundtable
aim to support veterans in transition

SANDUSKY, Ohio (04/04/17) —Veterans, service members and their Families attended a veterans resource fair to learn about job opportunities and benefits April 4, 2017, at the Erie County Fairgrounds. At Bowling Green State University Firelands in Huron, Ohio, student veterans attending school there participated in a roundtable discussion with Ohio Department of Higher Education Chancellor John Carey, Maj. Gen. Mark E. Bartman, Ohio adjutant general, state Rep. Rick Perales of the 73rd Ohio House District in western Greene County, and Chip Tansill, director of the Ohio Department of Veterans Services. These were two of several events held at locations throughout northwest Ohio featuring various state agencies, conducted in conjunction with Gov. John Kasich’s State of the State address, which he delivered that evening.
