SHARONVILLE, Ohio (10/06/17) — About 50 veterans of the Cincinnati-based 147th Infantry Regiment gathered for their annual reunion Oct. 6, 2017, at the Paul Vail Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4369. Organized in 1854 as the Guthrie Grays, the 147th Infantry consisted of units in Southwest Ohio until it was reorganized as an armor unit in 1994. Today, the 174th Air Defense Artillery Regiment perpetuates the lineage of this historic unit, which has seen service in the Civil War, War with Spain, World War I, World War II, Korean War and the War on Terrorism.
