The Ohio Army National Guard was named the gold winner earlier this year in the 2018 Army Communities of Excellence competition among all Army National Guard submissions. The accomplishment was celebrated during a July 2, 2018, ceremony at the Maj. Gen. Robert S. Beightler Armory in Columbus, Ohio, where key contributors (pictured) to the award submission were recognized by Maj. Gen. Mark E. Bartman, Ohio adjutant general. The annual ACOE competition measures and recognizes the best performing installations and communities in the Army, based on assessment criteria including leadership, strategic planning, customer focus and results. It is the sixth time Ohio has won since 2003. | READ PREVIOUS STORY |
