Serbia opens ‘South Base’ training center

In June 2014 the Republic of Serbia hosted “Platinum Wolf ‘14,” a multinational training exercise at the country’s newest training center, “South Base,” which was developed with assistance from the Ohio National Guard as part of the State Partnership Program. This video tells how the ONG helped develop the plan for the construction of the base, which now supports multinational peacekeeping operations training.

Ohio National Guard takes part in Platinum Wolf 2014

Five Soldiers from the Ohio National Guard traveled halfway across the world in late June to Serbia to participate in exercise Platinum Wolf 2014, a multinational peacekeeping operations exercise. The bilateral affairs officer (BAO) is a three-year temporary Active Guard/Reserve position, which serves as a full-time liaison between the Ohio National Guard and the Republic of Serbia.
