USAF chief of staff visits Mansfield as transition to cyberspace mission begins
Airmen of the 179th Cyberspace Wing welcomed Gen. Charles Q. Brown Jr., Air Force chief of staff, during their April 2003 monthly unit training assembly in Mansfield, Ohio. Stow armory, named for Civil War hero, gets upgrade
Descendants of 1st Sgt. Robert Pinn attended a special rededication ceremony for his namesake armory in Stow, Ohio, May 8, 2023. The facility was memorialized at the time of construction in 1974 for Pinn, a Massillon, Ohio native, who was awarded the Medal of Honor while serving with Company I, 5th United States Colored Troops at the Battle of Chaffin’s Farm, Va. on Sept. 29, 1864. Memorial Tournament’s military appreciation day celebrates service members, veterans
Members of the Ohio National Guard and other branches of the military were recognized during the Memorial Tournament’s annual “Salute to Service” day festivities at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio, May 31, 2023. Inspection tests 121st ARW’s capability to support nuclear deterrence operations

Troops halt Morgan’s Raid at Battle of Buffington Island
Confederate Brig. Gen. John Hunt Morgan led over 2,000 cavalrymen on a 13-day raid to divert Union forces from the front lines in Tennessee, culminating in the only battle fought in Ohio during the Civil War.
