179th Airlift Wing officially redesignated 179th Cyberspace Wing
Col. Darren E. Hamilton, commander of the new 179th Cyberspace Wing, unfurls the wing’s organizational flag during a redesignation ceremony at Mansfield-Lahm Air National Guard Base in Mansfield, Ohio, Sept. 9, 2023. Ohio and Hungary: Celebrating 30 years through the State Partnership Program
In 1993, the Department of Defense established the State Partnership Program, and the Ohio National Guard was paired with the Hungarian Defence Forces as one of the initiative’s first partnerships. The Ohio-Hungary partnership was developed during a historical period for Hungary, including its membership in NATO. Since then, Ohio and Hungary have conducted hundreds of partnership exchanges, training events and real-world missions, including joint deployments to Afghanistan and Kosovo. ~ U.S. Army National Guard video by Staff Sgt. 200th RED HORSE trains in Spain to gain valuable construction experience
Airmen from the 200th Rapid Engineer Deployable Heavy Operational Repair Squadron Engineers (RED HORSE) complete various construction projects while performing annual training, July 30, 2023, at Moron Air Base, Spain. Ohio Army National Guard member also serving as Ohio royalty
Spc. Rebekah Hardacre, a plumber in the Ohio Army National Guard’s 945th Engineer Company, is the 2023 Ohio Fairs’ Queen, representing and promoting state, county and independent agricultural fairs throughout the year. Thought to be the first Guard member to be Ohio Fairs’ Queen, Hardacre is utilizing the education benefits earned through her military service to complete her degree in pre-veterinary medicine at the University of Findlay. ~ U.S. Army National Guard video by Staff Sgt.
