Women's Equality Day commemorates American women achieving full voting rights under the U.S. Constitution in 1920 by passage of the 19th Amendment, which led to subsequent legislation and climate change that declared women deserve all the rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizenship, equal to men. In the U.S. military, service members are paid based on the rank they earn and their years of experience, regardless of gender. Women are now authorized to serve in most combat roles, the same as men. The Ohio National Guard strives to provide a respectful and inclusive environment for all its members to achieve and grow as a team, as well as individuals. Ohio National Guard graphic |
