Members of the Ohio Air National Guard's 220th Engineering Installation Squadron returned home from their overseas deployment on Oct. 23, 2013, to Port Columbus International Airport in Columbus, Ohio. Based in Zanesville, Ohio, the 220th EIS has a mission to engineer and install long-term communications such as voice/data networks, ground-to-air communications and meteorological/navigational systems in and around airfields worldwide, and has deployed multiple times in support of the Global War on Terrorism.

Pilots from the 180th Fighter Wing fly their F-16 Fighting Falcons in tandem during a training mission. The 180th, based out of Toledo, Ohio, supports U.S. and allied missions worldwide in support of overseas contingency operations, as well as the Aerospace Control Alert mission within the United States, providing personnel and aircraft prepared to respond quickly to any domestic airborne threats.
