Nicholas Pavlik, ONGThe Columbus Blue Jackets conducted a military youth street hockey clinic Feb. 28, 2014, in a hangar at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base in Columbus, Ohio. The Blue Jackets provided all the equipment for the clinic, which was open to children of military service members who registered. The event was part of the Defending The Blue Line program, which provides military children with free equipment, hockey camps, special events and financial assistance participate in hockey leagues. Through the organization's partnership with several NHL teams, including the Blue Jackets, thousands of military Families nationwide have attended select NHL games for free.
