Request a National Guard FlyoverThe United States Air Force is the approval authority for all flyover requests. They have an Aerial Events Support Program website that provides complete request procedures for military and non-military requestors and allows the user to view eligible events. As part of the request process, you must fax a copy of your request to your regional Federal Aviation Administration Support District Office and United States Air Force (see directions below). EVENT APPROVAL: Due to the increased operational tempo of Ohio National Guard flying units missions and training requirements, an event that has been determined to be eligible MAY NOT receive support. You may check the status of your flyover request on the website by using your request number or email address. DIRECTIONS FOR REQUESTING A FLYOVER: 1. Access US Air Force Aerials Events website at: www.airshows.pa.hq.af.mil 2. Click the red button labeled "New Requests" 3. Carefully read the “Am I eligible?” 4. Click on “Create new request”. 5. Enter your e-mail address and confirmation e-mail address. 6. Fill out the form with your name and contact information. 7. Fill out the “Events and Site Information” with the details of your event and your request. 8. Chose the type of support you are requesting (flyover, static display, demonstration) and additional information regarding your request. Be as specific as possible in order to ensure accuracy for your request. 9. Fill out the event details and event accessibility. 10. Carefully read the “Terms and Conditions” and click the “I accept” box. 11. You will be provided with a request number. Please keep this number for your records. 12. Fax your completed form to the Federal Aviation Administration office that serves the county (or nearest county) in which the EVENT will take place.
